Get a close-up look at South Western Ambulance Service this Wednesday
As part of South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust’s (SWASFT) Annual General Meeting, taking place at 3pm on Wednesday 11 September 2013, the Trust will be showcasing its urgent and emergency services on the Castle Green in Taunton.
The display will be open to the public from 11am until 6pm. As well as having a good look around a selection of vehicles and finding out more about the Trust, why not go along for a free health check carried out by a trained clinician?
Vehicles in attendance will include two front line ambulances, a mobile medical unit, a motorcycle paramedic, the command and control vehicle and the Hazardous Area Response Team (HART).
Staff from across the Trust will also be on hand to speak about their role within SWASFT. Staff in attendance will include paramedics, clinical hub staff, NHS111 staff along with Trust Governors, Non-Executive Directors and Directors.
Heather Strawbridge, Trust Chairman, said: "This event will provide a great opportunity for the Trust to showcase much of the excellent work that we do and the services that we provide.
“Not only do we provide the 999 service but we also operate the out-of-hours service in Somerset and Dorset and the NHS111 service in Devon and Dorset. We are also very pleased to work with many community responders across the region.”
The Annual General Meeting and the Annual Members’ Meeting will take place at 3pm at The Old Municipal Buildings, Corporation Street, Taunton. The AGM and Annual Members’ Meeting is open to Trust members and the general public.
