Go-Kart Party, Go Fundraising in Princesshay
Go-Kart Party has raised over £750 for the WESC Foundation with its inflatable boundary track located in Princesshay Square throughout the summer, as part of the continued charity partnership between WESC Foundation and Princesshay.
Go-Kart Party kindly donated 10% of all takings throughout their summer to the WESC Foundation, together with additional money from the onsite raffle to win an All-Terrain Kart™.
The pay per ride electric Go-Karts in Princesshay Square ran on an 11 by 16 metre track specifically designed for 4 to10 year olds and, powered by gel filled batteries, they produce no noise or fumes allowing eager young visitors plenty of time to have a go at being a racing driver.
Nathan Martindill of Go-Kart Party said, “We were delighted to bring the go karts to Princesshay for the third summer running and what an amazing summer it has been. We’ve had great fun and are very proud to have raised over £750 for this fantastic local charity and the amazing work that they do. It was an honour to meet some of the children and young people at WESC and to see and hear about where the money will go”
Caroline Burkie, Fundraising and PR Manager of WESC Foundation said, “We loved having the opportunity to say a proper thank you to Nathan for his generous contribution. The money raised will enable us to start and complete an entire project which is to provide four much needed wheelchair accessible benches for the children and young people at WESC. These will enable the children and young people who contend with visual impairment and complex needs to learn and socialise outside in the summer and also in our under cover areas whatever their ability. We are so grateful.”
