Guitarist Larry Miller, hailed by Classic Rock’s The Blues magazine as “Keeper of the British blues – rock flame” in a recent 5 page article, is appearing with his band at The Exeter Phoenix this Thursday 20th March.

After years on the road, which in the early days included regular headline spots at London’s Marquee Club and appearing at the famous Reading Festival, Larry is gaining the recognition he deserves for his exceptional guitar playing and showmanship. His eighth and most recent album is a live double CD titled ‘Live & Outlawed’ which captures his explosive live performance but you really have to be at a Larry Miller gig to experience the full on live effect.

Larry’s recent albums including his latest, have been included in ‘best albums of the year’ features by several music magazines and readers of Classic Rock Presents The Blues magazine voted Larry Miller number 3 blues rock guitarist only to be beaten by Joe Bonamassa and Walter Trout.

As a summary in a review of Larry Miller’s last studio album ‘On The Edge’, Guitar & Bass magazine wrote:

“Put Rory Gallagher, Gary Moore and Stevie Ray Vaughan in the ring together and you'd be close to the gutsy outpourings on these nine elegant cuts……” and Radio Caroline said this is “The new Gary Moore”. In fact Gary Moore’s drummer Graham Walker who appeared on Gary Moore’s most successful blues albums and who has also appeared with other top names such as Mick Jagger, Albert Collins and BB King, now plays in Larry Miller’s band alongside Derek White on bass.

Larry Miller is undeniably one of the must see blues/rock acts.

Tickets for Larry Miller’s show at The Exeter Phoenix this Thursday 20th March can be purchased from The Phoenix box office or online at www.exeterphoenix.org.uk Tickets will also be available on the door.

If you like Rory Gallagher, Joe Bonamassa, Gary Moore, Walter Trout or Jimi Hendrix, you’ll want to see and hear Larry Miller.
