High flying Exeter legal eagles promoted
One of Devon’s leading law firms is promoting high flying staff at its office in Exeter. Stephens Scown LLP has made six promotions to partner and associate level.
Three associates have been promoted to partner level, bringing the total number of partners in the firm to 48. The newly promoted partners are all specialists from Stephen Scown’s corporate department in Exeter. They are: Laura McFadyen, an associate in the employment team; Andrew Knox, an associate specialising in insolvency; and Ben Travers, head of the firm’s intellectual property and IT team.
Three solicitors are being promoted to associate level. The Exeter corporate team is again benefitting from further promotions, with Ruby Anugwom, a solicitor with a specialism in immigration law and Catherine Carlton, a corporate solicitor both being promoted to associate.
Sarah Walls, a solicitor in the Exeter family team has also been promoted to associate level.

Stephens Scown is also promoting three members of staff based in Cornwall. Davina Haydon, head of the firm’s dispute resolution department in St Austell has been promoted to partner. Sarah Fitzgerald from the St Austell family team and Sarah-Jane Williams, a solicitor in Stephens Scown’s planning team in Truro have been promoted to associate.
