Chance for Devon producers to showcase wares
As part of its 200 year anniversary celebrations, Finch Foundry in Sticklepath, near Okehampton, is hosting a local produce fair in the garden on Saturday 21 June.
The Foundry is looking for talented local producers to come along and display their wares at the fair which, if it proves successful, will become an annual event in the calendar.
Ben Shapcott, Foundry Manager said: "The produce fair is an opportunity for local producers to showcase their crafts and produce against the backdrop of the Foundry which was once one of the biggest producers of edge tools in the south west."
The team are asking for anything local, from jam and cakes to embroidery and woodwork. To reserve a space at the fair, ring 01837 840046 or email finchfoundry@nationaltrust.org.uk.
During the fair, the Foundry is also running a preserve and jam swap shop where visitors can bring along a jar of home-made jam and swap it with another. Naturally, items to swap should be of a good quality, sealed properly with no signs of mould or rot and labelled with a production date.
Spaces at the produce fair are limited, so please get in touch as soon as possible. Producers should be local and only produce on a small-scale.
