Nomadic Travel announce photo competition winner
Exeter-based Liz Joslin is the winner of local agency Nomadic Travel’s annual Travel Photo Competition with this wonderful close-up picture of a gelada monkey.
Liz took this photograph whilst travelling with her husband Lee in the Simien Mountains of Ethiopia.
Gelada monkeys are the world's most terrestrial primates, excepting humans.
Their closely-knit social groups offer a fascinating study in primate behaviour and Liz’s image captures superbly a feeling of a deeply thoughtful mammalian brain.
The team at Nomadic Travel unanimously voted for it as their favourite image amongst this year’s entries.
Liz receives £100 as winner of the competition and is putting this towards a trip to Bolivia later this year where she is headed on her next adventure.
