Cherition Fitzpaine Twinning Association welcomed 28 visitors from their twinned village of Bonnebosq in Normandy for an action-packed weekend.

The French visitors arrived last Friday and were given a warm welcome in Cheriton Fitzpaine Parish Hall by chairman Geoff Yeandle.

On the Friday evening lively group meals hosted at various members’ homes.

On Saturday everyone went to Exmouth for a Stuart Line cruise along the River Exe, then dined at the Nutwell Lodge.

In the evening there was a grand party held in Cheriton Fitzpaine Parish Hall and a delicious buffet supper.  Music and dancing was led by the Hips an Haws, and a great time was had by all.

On Sunday, after family lunches, and in one case a visit to Exeter Quay, everyone met again at 4pm to say “au revoir” to their French friends, as they boarded the coach for their return to Bonnebosq.
