Exeter Round Table recently visited disability charity St Loye’s Foundation with a generous cheque donation to show their continued support for local charities in the South West.

On November 5th every year Exeter Round Table put on a magnificent firework display at Westpoint, Clyst St Mary in which all the proceeds go towards supporting a selection of local charities including St Loye’s Foundation.

With over 8,500 people attending, the 2014 firework display was one of the biggest in terms of numbers and saw the highest amount of money raised for charity to date.

Exeter Round Table raised over £20,000 for local charities and St Loye’s Foundation received a generous donation of £2,000 which will make a huge difference to the lives of disabled and disadvantaged people.

Chairman for Exeter Round Table, Mike Davies, said: “It was a fantastic night all round and we thank our partner organisations who support the event. Exeter Round Table is delighted to be donating £2,000 to St Loye's Foundation’.”

Lianne Harding, Community Fundraiser for St Loye’s Foundation, said: “I would like to say a massive thank you to Exeter Round Table for their long-standing continuing support that will help us transform lives.”

“The Westpoint Fireworks is a fantastic event that we are thrilled to be involved with. We were able to involve 20 students from Exeter University through volunteering which is twice more than the previous year and we are very excited for the upcoming Fireworks this year.”
