The LoveUKeira Tractor Road Trip is a three week, 700 mile vintage tractor run in aid of childhood brain tumour research and awareness, in loving memory of 2 year old Keira Lee who tragically passed away in December 2013 just a week after being diagnosed with a brain tumour.

On Wednesday 12th August the team of 3 1950s Fordsons (including the now famous "LoveUKeira" pink tractor) and two hand-built showman's wagons, headed off for day three of their challenge.

After a fantastic evening at the Otter Inn, Honiton, a long stint west-bound on the A30 beckoned, and it didn't get off to a great start.

The team had their first major mechanical problem, not with the tractors, but with the smaller of the two wagons. With the wheel bearings shot, the only option was to load it onto a trailer; the support team already proving their worth.

From there on it was a good run, with a nice tea break at The Red Lion, Tedburn St Mary to meet some of the many followers the team now have on Facebook - www.facebook.com/loveukeiraroadtrip

At the end of an eventful third day the tractors and entourage arrived at their scheduled stop in Bodmin. From there on they will be travelling across the South of England until August 31st.

Shane and Donna Portman with Patrick Holden make-up the tractor driving team and are raising funds for The Children's Brain Tumour Research Centre www.cbtrc.org and the national brain tumour awareness campaign HeadSmart www.headsmart.org.uk.

Anyone wishing to support the team can donate at www.justgiving.com/loveukeiraroadtrip or by texting KEIR70 £3 to 70070 (or other amount up to £10)
