Exmouth Illuminated Carnival Procession – Saturday 10th October 2015

This year’s procession will be bigger and better than last year with over 60 entries! Participants will be attending from all over Devon – Totnes, Torbay, South Brent, Tiverton, Chulmleigh and Axminster to name a few as well as many local Exmouth & East Devon entries. We also have a visiting Carnival Troupe from Luton and the City of Exeter Pipes and Drums!

We are also very excited to announce that some of the cast of Peter Pan who will be performing at the Exmouth Pavilion over Christmas and the New Year will be making a special appearance at our Carnival Fun Day on Saturday 10th October and will be walking in the Procession in the evening to promote their Panto.

We have been informed by Stagecoach and Rail Track that they are laying on extra services from Exeter for the day and night. Please be aware that road closures come into force from 7.00pm. The procession will start at 7.30pm from Imperial Road. It will then travel along Marine Way into Exeter Road then the Parade before finishing at the roundabout by KFC & Capels. The best and least crowded viewing areas are usually along Marine Way.

Please be aware that on Carnival night we have a lot of street pedlars selling foil balloons and light ups. The only authorised Exmouth Carnival seller is Carnival Balloons. They have full public and product liability insurance and have the necessary street pedlar trading licences from East Devon District Council. They are easily identifiable as they will be wearing pink hi-viz vests and will have Carnival Balloons printed on the back.

The Carnival costs £5,500 to put on each year so we hope for bumper crowds that will dig deep on the night to help keep this fantastic local tradition going.

We have been informed that Stagecoach Devon will be putting on extra services that night for buses to and from Exeter to Exmouth for the day and night. Check their website for more information.
