Masquerade Ball for Cystic Fibrosis

Finally the Christmas ball you have all been waiting for!

For a night full of mystery, music and masks, come and join the Masquerade Ball at the Livermead Cliff Hotel in Torquay, Devon, to help raise money for Cystic Fibrosis. The night will consist of a delicious festive 3-course meal, along with the band The Breaks performing live, a raffle, and a few surprises throughout the evening – oh, and did we mention there was a red carpet.

The ball is being held to raise money for Cystic fibrosis, an inherited disease that is caused by a faulty gene. This gene controls the movement of salt and water in and out of your cells, so the lungs and digestive system become clogged with mucus, making it hard to breathe and digest food.

Cystic Fibrosis currently affects 1 in 25 people within the UK population, and with only treatments to help manage it but no actual cure means that only half of those with the disease in the UK will live past the age of 41.

Lisa, 26, who is one of the key organisers of the ball said “Earlier on in the year a close friend’s baby was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis. It’s hard to think that something so beautiful can be plagued with something so cruel.”

“We want to find raise as much money as possible to help provide better treatments for Cystic Fibrosis, and ultimately in time, a cure”

Hanna, 24, another key organiser for the ball said “We are really excited about putting on such a brilliant night and working as hard as possible to make it a night to remember.”

“It’s such a worthy cause so we are creating as much noise as we can about it to really make the night a success.”

The night in question will take place on the evening of 4th of December and requires a formal dress code. Bookings are available for couples, groups, or if you fancy your work Christmas party with us then you can even book by the table!
