Three arrested in connection with attempted murder in Crediton

Police are investigating an attempted murder in Crediton at the weekend after a man suffered life-threatening injuries.

A 35-year-old man, from Crediton, was allegedly attacked in an alleyway at The Burrowe between 12.30am and 1.15am on Saturday 10 October.

He suffered serious neck and facial injuries and was taken to the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital, where he remains in a stable condition.

Three men have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and were taken into custody at Heavitree Road police station, Exeter.

Two 18-year-old men, from Crediton, and a 25-year-old man, from the Exeter area, were later released on bail until 19 January 2016. Officers are appealing for anyone who has any information about the incident to get in touch.

Detective Sergeant Simon Davey, based in Tiverton, said: "Enquiries are ongoing into this isolated incident.

“We are keen to speak to any witnesses who were in the area at the time and anyone who has any knowledge of how the injuries were sustained."
