New look for leisure online
Teignbridge District Council has launched a new-look leisure website, making it even easier for residents to sign-up, book classes or look for swimming timetables.
Focusing on the council’s three leisure centres Newton Abbot Leisure Centre, Broadmeadow Sports Centre and Dawlish Leisure Centre, the website has been created to be more accessible and easy to use through desktop computers, mobile phones or tablets.
Cllr George Gribble, Teignbridge District Council’s Executive spokesman for Recreation and Leisure, said: “The redesign is aimed to make sure the site is much more accessible to our leisure centre customers so they can find out more about our services, such as the crèche, swim school, birthday parties, our gyms and personal training. You can check out swim or class timetables and also find out about the different memberships we offer or members can book onto classes.
“The revamped look is an online shop window for Teignbridge’s leisure services and will help us improve how we promote and sell activities across the different leisure centre sites and operate more commercially and effectively in a very competitive industry.”
Visit www.teignbridgeleisure.co.uk for more information.
The website also contains details about the popular school holiday clubs, racquet sports, how to book a centre for a birthday party, sport hall/all weather pitch hire.
Teignbridge District Council runs Newton Abbot and Dawlish leisure centres, Broadmeadow Sports Centre in Teignmouth and outdoor sports facilities including Teignmouth Lido, Shaldon Golf and football pitches.
To celebrate the launch, Teignbridge is running a competition for people to win one free month of membership. Open to members and non-members, all people to have to is tell us what their favourite leisure activity is and why.
