East Devon District Council’s Countryside team is inviting photographers of all ages and abilities – from beginners to professionals - to demonstrate their skills and talent by entering an exciting new photographic competition.

The theme is completely open – it could be a landscape, seascape, architecture, wildlife or colourful flowers - as long as the photograph depicts a subject that is in East Devon.

To enter, please send a high quality (high res) image to: countryside@eastdevon.gov.uk, including your name, age and the subject of your photograph. Entries received between now and 30 April 2016 will be included in the competition. Full terms and conditions for the competition are available upon request.

The overall winner of the competition will receive a free place on one of the Countyside team’s Spring/Summer events - this includes willow basket making and canoe safaris. The winning entry, together with 11 runners-up, will have their photographs featured in a countryside calendar.

Trainee Countryside Ranger, Saul Jenner, who is running the competition, said:

“Working as part of the Countryside team has exposed me to a variety of beautiful places across East Devon. I often see photographers at our sites and I thought a photography competition would be a great way for people to showcase both their talent and the beauty of East Devon.”
