Heart FM joins the Rainbow Run party
Heart FM in the South West has signed up as the official media partner for Children’s Hospice South West’s 25th Anniversary Rainbow Run to be held on June 11 at Exeter Racecourse.
Richard Spencer, Managing Editor at Heart’s broadcast centre in Exeter said: "We’re delighted to be involved in this year’s Rainbow Run in Children’s Hospice South West’s 25th anniversary year. It’s such a feel-good event for a brilliant cause, and we love being part of it. We can’t wait for June!”
This flagship fundraising event for the hospice, sees hundreds of participants running and walking around a 5k course whilst being showered with coloured powder paint.
As it is the charity’s 25th Anniversary, there will also be some silver surprises and Jayne Jarrett, event organiser at the hospice said: "Rainbow Run is such a fun event for us and as this year, as children from the age of 5 can take part too, it’s going to be a really fun, fabulous, family day out!"
Joining the Heart team will be street entertainers, face painting, music and bouncy castles as well as food and refreshments. The idea is simple, turn up in your white T shirt and leave a multi-coloured mess, knowing that you have helped make a difference to the children and families that use the hospice’s services.
Nearly a thousand people took part in last year’s run helping to raise nearly £50,000 for the hospice which offers respite and end of life care for life-limited children and their families across Devon.
Priced at just £15.00 for adults and £10.00 pounds for children or a family ticket of £40.00, it’s a great way to have fun and help your local children’s hospice charity at the same time. For more information, or to register online, visit www.chsw.org.uk/rainbowexeter
