Exeter locals star in Princesshay Christmas TV advert
Talented Exeter locals will be gracing our TV screens this festive season in Princesshay’s Christmas 2016 TV advert. The feel-good advert features 15 local people including school children, musicians, dancers, two Exeter Chiefs players and a number of staff that work in Princesshay’s stores and restaurants.
The advert is set in Princesshay and captures the cast dancing care free in locations all over Princesshay including stores, restaurants, the alm houses and around the glass pebbles in the main square. The popular festive polar bears also make an appearance too!
The new advert will have its premiere on the big screen at Exeter’s Christmas light switch on, taking place on Thursday 17th November, in Princesshay.
Street castings and an invitation on Princesshay’s social media took place in early September to find the perfect exuberant cast of Exeter faces to debut in the advert. The response was fantastic and a final cast was whittled down before filming took place in mid-September.
Adam Moran, AKA ‘Adam In The Hat’, who features in the advert said, “It was fantastic to be part of Princesshay’s Christmas advert. I really enjoyed the filming and I can’t wait to watch it on the big screen at Exeter’s Christmas light switch on in November.”
Hannah Overton, Marketing Manager for Princesshay said, “From roller-skating to dancing, trumpet playing to scooting, the advert features lots of local faces of all ages in and around Princesshay. We had so much fun filming and getting to know the fantastic cast over the two days. I am excited for the grand reveal and seeing all the hard work pay off.”
The TV ad will form part of a multi-channel media campaign aimed at putting Princesshay and Exeter on the map as a leading South West shopping destination this Christmas, drawing additional shoppers to the city and reminding new and returning visitors of the brands, events and experience they can expect at Princesshay.
Princesshay’s Christmas advert can be seen on ITV Westcountry and ITV player from 21st November until 4th December.
