Appeal after aggravated burglary in Chudleigh

Police are appealing for witnesses after an aggravated burglary took place in Chudleigh on Friday 1st February.

The burglary is reported to have taken place at a property in Moor View at around 6pm, where the suspect is believed to have been in possession of a knife with an eight-inch blade.

According to a police spokesperson, the suspect is described as white, in his late teens or early 20s, 5ft 10in and of slight build. He was wearing a dark hoodie with the hood up, dark jeans and white shoes. A bum bag, wallet and a small amount of cash were taken.

PC Hoskin-Cole, investigating officer, said: “Although this is a distressing crime, it is relatively rare. We understand there may have been witnesses so if you saw anything that may help us with our enquiries please get in touch.”
