Honiton man charged with murder

Detectives have charged Keith Beviss, aged 54 from Honiton with the murder of Philip Ryan aged 55 who was from Westward Ho!

This development follows the police discovering the body of Mr Ryan at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Dowell Street in Honiton at around 3.50pm on Tuesday 6 June 2017.

Beviss is due to appear at Exeter Magistrates’ Court at 10am this morning (Thursday 8 June 2017).

The family of the deceased have released an image of Philip Ryan (see attached) and would like to say the following:

“Philip was a very kind, gentle and loving husband who will be greatly missed by all his family and friends.  We are in a state of shock.  There aren’t any words to describe our pain.”
