Rainbow Run brings colourful fun to Exeter!

A great day was had by all at Children’s Hospice South West’s fundraising Rainbow Run event which was held for the first time at Westpoint Arena on Saturday 10 June.

Over 1200 people of all ages took part in the 5k fun run and were covered from head to toe in multi-coloured powder paint while they ran, walked and jogged their way through the seven different colour stations around the route.

The event is all about having fun whilst raising funds for the charity’s Little Bridge House hospice in Devon and Jayne Jarrett, event fundraiser at the hospice said: ‘What a fantastic day! We’d like to thank everyone who turned out to join us in this great event and for their wonderful support of Children’s Hospice South West.’

Families, colleagues and groups of friends all took part together and really entered into the spirit of the day - from the warm up through to the finish line where they were welcomed back with a medal. The fun continued throughout the large event village with live entertainment, bouncy castles, refreshments and music from Radio Exe.

Money raised from the Rainbow Run will go towards supporting life limited children and their families across Devon at the charity’s Little Bridge House in Barnstaple. The hospice offers care and support to children and families going through unimaginable circumstances, and provides respite breaks, palliative care, emergency stays, end-of-life care and bereavement support.
