Where to meet Father Christmas at National Trust places in Devon

Father Christmas will be stopping off at National Trust places this Christmas, ready to share festive cheer with visitors. Dates and admission prices vary for each place, so please check online for booking costs and details.

Saltram: Storytime with Father Christmas
Dates from Saturday 1 December. Tickets £8/child, £4/Adult
Gather round Father Christmas in the stables at Saltram as he shares magical stories and festive songs. Each visit includes a special keepsake.

Buckland Abbey: Father Christmas with a twist
Dates from Saturday 1 December. Tickets: Child £4.50, Adult £2.50
Join Buckland Abbey’s Father Christmas ‘with a twist.’ Travel back in time to 1577, where Sir Francis Drake is spending Christmas at sea. Many miles from home the sailors appoint their own ‘Lord of Misrule’ who will be telling tales of life on the high seas and handing out gifts to those who join in with the merry making.

Killerton: Father Christmas at Killerton
Dates from Saturday 1 December. Tickets: £6
Meet Father Christmas in his festive grotto, all dressed up in his traditional Victorian green suit. The visit includes a free gift, having a go at some Christmas crafts and of course a chance to tell him what you’d like for Christmas!

Knightshayes: Meet the man in green
Dates from Saturday 8 December. Tickets: £6
Father Christmas will be visiting Knightshayes in the run up to the big day, and will be in his workshop ready to spread some festive cheer and a gift. Learn all about Christmas traditions and tell us about yours, and don't forget to write a letter to the North Pole.

Greenway: Father Christmas visits Greenway
Dates from Saturday 8 December. Tickets: £5
Father Christmas and his helpers will be stopping off at Agatha Christie’s holiday home, Greenway, to tell some festive stories and help little-ones to write their letters to Father Christmas, which can be popped into the Greenway post.

Arlington Court: Father Christmas is coming
Dates from Saturday 15 December. Tickets: £5
Come to our festive grotto in the stables at the Carriage Museum and meet our traditional Father Christmas dressed in green. Each visit includes a gift, plus enjoy the festive decorations at the Court and be inspired to make your own.

Castle Drogo: Father Christmas comes to Castle Drogo
Dates from Saturday 15 December. Tickets: £3.50
Father Christmas will be making a very special visit to Castle Drogo. Follow the trail through the garden to find him and receive a special present. Normal admission applies.

All visits to the National Trust this Christmas contribute to the income and the care of these historically significant sites, as well as the ongoing management of the surrounding countryside and access.
