Christmas begins early with free entry for students at Exeter
The festive season starts early at Exeter Racecourse on Friday (December 7) when all students with a valid student card are eligible for free entry.
A behind the scenes tour an hour before the first race will give those new to the sport an insight into racing, while a terrific seven race card will keep aficionados glued to the rails as they pin point future stars.
General manager Jack Parkinson said: “It’s the perfect raceday to have a long weekend, and begin it in style at Exeter Racecourse. It’s always a very competitive card, and a popular day out as an alternative to the traditional Christmas party. Our free raceday initiative for students has always been popular in the past too and we hope people take advantage f this. The atmosphere should be buzzing and we hope everyone from the area makes a day of it on Haldon Hill, as everyone deserves a day out of the office now and again.”
The first race is off at 12.25 with gates opening at 10.25. A free bus service from Exeter St David (10.30) and Exeter Bus and Coach Station (10.45am) returning 30 minutes after the last race.
