Barratt in Exeter supports apprenticeships with marketing appointment
Five star housebuilder Barratt Developments has appointed a new marketing apprentice in Exeter as part of expansion plans in the south west.
Finlay McBay has joined the Exeter-based team which looks after Barratt Homes and David Wilson Homes in the region.
The 19 year old who lives in Kenton is the second marketing apprentice to join the team in the last year. The first, Barney Munn, has already been promoted to marketing executive.
“I was attracted to the role because it offered me a chance to use both my technical skills along with my creative ones,” said Finlay who has quickly fitted into the marketing team.
His role will include a wide range of marketing disciplines with a focus on digital activity for the housebuilder. He will spend four days a week in the business and a fifth studying for his NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Marketing.
Barratt Exeter’s marketing manager Alex Jones said: “We’re delighted to welcome Finlay to the team. The construction industry has long been a supporter of apprentices on site so we are thrilled to repeat this kind of success in our head office,” said Alex. “Barney’s promotion shows the calibre of apprentices we can recruit in the south west and Finlay is just as keen to develop a career in a challenging and rapidly developing industry.”
