Resounding success with GCSEs results!
Pupils, parents and teachers at Avanti Hall in Exeter are celebrating a fantastic set of GCSE results. This is the first set of external results that the school has had following two years of disruption during the pandemic and initial figures show a huge transformation in GCSE outcomes for pupils since the Avanti Schools Trust took over the school in November 2019.
Phil Arnold, Principal is delighted and says: “It has been astonishing to see so many of our pupils achieving grade 9s in many subjects. This year group has seen much disruption over the past few years and we have been so impressed by the resilience, teamwork and determination that they have shown to produce such an impressive set of results. We have had a wealth of talented and experienced teachers join us over the last two years and the pupils have responded well to their excellent teaching and staff that believed in them.”
This statement from Phil Arnold clearly demonstrates that Avanti Hall School is growing from strength to strength. The take-over in 2019 changing the schools status from a Steiner to Avanti Schools Trust as well as following the new curriculum, clearly has made a positive impact.
There are many personal success stories that could be shared; one great example is that of Uma who did exceptionally well. She achieved 4 grade 9s amongst her 10 GCSEs and has managed to secure a scholarship at one of the leading independent school’s Blundell’s to study her A-Levels.
Many pupils, like Uma (pictured below) from Avanti Hall have managed to secure places at their preferred schools or FE colleges – overall a resounding success for all at Avanti Hall School!
