BOYS and girls from Devon who qualify for Santa’s ‘nice’ list will be able to meet him at a Christmas tree farm on the Devon/Somerset border next month (December 2022).

Father Christmas will be taking up residence once again at Langford Lakes Christmas Tree Farm this and next weekend (December 3 & 4 and 10 & 11) onwards with donations going to Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW).

Nick Hendy from Langford Lakes Christmas Tree Farm, which is based at Middle Hill Farm in Langford Budville, said: “We’re delighted this year to have Father Christmas with us once again on selected days in the run up to Christmas.

“Each child who visits Father Christmas will be given an age-appropriate gift and parents/guardians are welcome to take photos of their child during the visit.

“All we ask in return for a visit is that a donation is made to our Charity of the Year – CHSW. All donations are welcome and can be dropped into our collection box in the Crafts at Christmas shop.

“Father Christmas will be in his grotto in our courtyard at certain times on two weekends, starting this weekend, in the run up to Christmas – December 3 & 4 and 10 & 11 from 10am until 3pm.”

CHSW is currently the only provider of specialist hospice care for children in the region. It offers much needed support for youngsters with a life-limiting or life-threatening condition and their families at its three hospices: Charlton Farm in North Somerset, Little Bridge House in North Devon and Little Harbour in Cornwall.

Langford Lakes Christmas Tree Farm, which is well-known for its home grown, freshly cut Christmas trees, is a family run farm located close to the nature reserve Langford Heathfield, a mile outside of Langford Budville.

The farm is owned and run by Reg and his wife Ann and their two sons and daughters-in-law, Shaun, Trudy, Nick and Clare. The family has been growing and selling Christmas trees for more than 20 years.

Langford Lakes Christmas Tree Farm is now open from 9am until 5pm every day excluding Sundays, when it’s open 10am until 4pm.

It will also be open every weeknight until 8pm on November 28, 29 and 30 as well as December 1, 2, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9 with live entertainment for anyone who decides to visit on December 1, 2 and 9.
