A wonderful weekend event for all lovers of the ancient Japanese tradition of Taiko featuring Amanojaku from Japan, Exeter's Kagemusha Taiko and others. Part of the 9th UK Taiko Festival.

Friday 5 July

The 9th UK Taiko Festival will be opened by a Feast of Taiko concert at Exeter’s Northcott Theatre.

Taiko drumming concerts are always an uplifting experience. This is the annual concert by the best young players in the country. It'll be an evening of high energy, excitement and inspiration, headlined by the multiple award-winning youth group from Kegemusha Taiko, and featuring other youth groups from across the UK. Saturday 6 July

Workshops for taiko players, free taiko concert, free children’s workshops, taiko films, talks and demos, Taiko in Town and a chance to join in a taiko song to end the day at the Phoenix and at the Northcott before headliners Amanojaku.

Workshops for taiko players, free Kagemusha Junior Taiko showcase, free children’s workshops, taiko films, talks and demos, Taiko in Town, another chance to join in a taiko song at the Phoenix and at the Northcott before headliners Amanojaku.
