Award-winning Chartered Accountants Haines Watts continue to buck the trend in the current economic climate as the Exeter office makes a number of new appointments.

The Southernhay-based firm welcomes Chris Thorpe as the new Tax Director and announces the promotions of Patrick Tigwell as general practice Equity Partner and Lisa Crockford to Associate Partner for the Forensics Department.  This follows the recent merger with Crediton accountancy practice Ocean Consultancy Limited run by founder David Park who is now an Equity Partner of Haines Watts Exeter.

A national network with over 50 offices, each Haines Watts office operates independently offering a wide range of services tailored to the local market.  The Exeter Office primarily focuses on audit, accountancy and taxation services to owner-managed businesses and dealing with individual’s tax affairs, with the specialist Forensic accountancy team undertaking work throughout England and Wales.  The Haines Watts Group won ‘Auditor of the Year 2013’ in the SME category at the annual FDs Excellence Awards last month for the second successive year.

Ben de Cruz Managing Partner Haines Watts, Exeter says:  “It has been an incredible start to the new Tax Year for the Exeter office. The Haines Watts Group is a well-respected brand and a Top 20 firm of Chartered Accountants and this has been publicly recognised with a national industry award for the second year running.  At a local level we merged with Ocean Consultancy of Crediton which is now a sub-office of Haines Watts Exeter and the new promotions strengthen the partnership particularly in the current economic climate and I want to congratulate the team on all their hard work and commitment to the firm.”
