As the British public venture further from home and demand for post-covid travel grows, a direct airport coach service from Plymouth has been added back onto the National Express network of scheduled coach services.
The 511 service from Plymouth to Heathrow airport will run once a day each way, seven days a week, via Exteter and Salisbury.
The route has been reintroduced as part of the UK’s largest coach operator’s return to the road after a three month suspension in response to covid-19.
Chris Hardy, managing director of National Express UK Coach, explains: “...
JUDGE and family law expert Sarah Evans is heading-up a remote virtual Arbitration Service for divorcing or separating parents seeking legally-binding decisions about their children rather than going to court (August 2020).
Exeter-based Barrister Sarah, who helped found the Westcountry-based legal service, Children in the Middle®, is leading the service to offer people quick decisions with the same enforceability as a court order.
She explains: “Senior judges are urging people, especially during the current COVID-19 crisis, to seek alternatives to court and it can even be...
It’s possible to find just about everything online today. That includes loans. It’s not just the ability to fill out loan applications with traditional banks. There are plenty of alternative lenders who supply financing for those who are seeking it. Along with being a convenient way to get a personal loan, going online also offers a few other perks. Here are some examples to keep in mind.
Lenders Who Offer Flexible Payment Plans
You’d be surprised at how many different payment plans are offered by different kinds of lenders. Some of them are happy to set up withdrawals...
Hunting is one of the most popular sports in North America, and the most controversial. It regularly features in newspapers and on television, with politicians suggesting it should be abolished completely. Animal rights activists have been campaigning for many years to have the practice outlawed in the United States, but at this moment in time, it seems to be going nowhere. Hunting is, frankly, beneficial for the ecosystem, notwithstanding its morality. Hunting is a very important part of culling vermin that if it were not for hunting would dominate ecosystems and become unstoppable. This...
Following from the success of the “Eat Out to Help Out” scheme, Exeter office company Offices.co.uk is asking the Government to give free lunches to all office workers to encourage them to return to work with the “Lunch is on us” Campaign.
“Exeter is struggling; cafes and sandwich shops empty, trains and buses underused – we want the Government to incentivise their use by providing lunch and travel vouchers. It’s not dissimilar to the Eat Out scheme, and just as important, possibly more so”, explains Jonathan Ratcliffe from Exeter Office company Offices.co.uk

Local children are being urged to learn lifelong gas safety lessons this summer, while being in with a chance of winning a national competition.

The gas emergency and pipeline service, which runs the annual ‘Get Creative, Be Safe’ competition in Wales and the south west of England, is looking for...
BRITAIN’S fed-up motorists have come up with a top ten of the most irritating things that backseat drivers say…and the worst is: “You should have gone the other way.”
A nationwide study showed that 83 per cent of drivers regularly suffer from unhelpful passenger comments, and the main culprit is usually their partner.
Among the most annoying phrases are, “Aren’t you a bit close to the car in front” and “Do you know it’s a 30mph limit here?”, according to research by insurance experts Money Expert .
Devon’s Deputy Director of Public Health has issued guidance to commuters and other car sharers as they head back to work or are out and about.
With people asked not to use public transport if possible, some are opting to share lifts to work with friends and colleagues. Young people might also be sharing lifts to places during the holiday period.
Steve Brown, Devon’s Deputy Director of Public Health and Vice Chair of the county’s multi-agency COVID-19 Health Protection Board , said:
“The best travel options are walking and cycling, rather than sitting in an...
Most non-drivers don’t have a clue how to tell if a car is about to reverse into them, new research has found.
Only 44 per cent of non-drivers surveyed by YouGov for Injury Prevention Week (17-21 August) knew to look out for reverse lights.
“When walking behind a parked car everyone should be aware that it is about to reverse towards you when those white lights come on,” said Sam Elsby, president of APIL, a national not-for-profit group which hosts Injury Prevention Week.
Some of the more worrying responses to the survey question about how to tell if a vehicle...
