A leading deals platform has advertised a dream job as a ‘Travel Ambassador’ for which a lucky applicant will be paid £25,000 to travel to 40 countries across the world on a 12-month contract and can even take a travel companion on each trip.

A company from South Devon has been named one of the best rural businesses in the country after winning a regional Rural Business Award.

Surfing Cow Ice Cream from Holbeton near Plymouth from was named best Food and Drink Business at the South West regional finals of the Rural Business Awards in partnership with Amazon which were held at the Royal Agricultural University and regionally sponsored by Openreach and Millsted Langdon.

Time is running out to take part in consultation about proposals to increase council tax payment support for low income working age households

Around 3,000 low income households in East Devon could benefit by an estimated £270,000 in extra support towards paying their council tax in a scheme which is currently being consulted on.

But time is running out to take part in the consultation on the district council’s draft Council Tax Reduction Scheme which proposes to increase the amount of council tax support for low income working age households. Pensioners will not be affected by the proposals.

East Devon District Council has completed access improvement works in a site off Green Lane, for the Feniton Flood Alleviation Scheme, to ensure that both Phase 3 and Phase 4 have appropriate access for contractors to complete culvert installation works.
