Cabinet finalises development terms for new watersports centre in Exmouth

East Devon District Council and Grenadier are due to sign the final part of the agreement for a new watersports centre which will include a café and restaurant, public parking, communal space and a new ramp giving direct access to the beach at Queen’s Drive on Exmouth seafront.

The district council’s Cabinet agreed (March 6) a report explaining the latest details of the agreement proposed with Grenadier. The council is on target to complete the new road and car park by June 19.

Under the agreement, Grenadier will be required to take on the lease for the site on completion...

Exeter woman runs half marathon to raise awareness of bowel cancer

Lorraine Ritchie, 59, from Exeter, will run the London Landmarks Half Marathon two months before her 60th birthday, raising funds for Bowel Cancer UK in memory of her mother and sister, who she lost to the disease within a year of each other.

After obtaining a place in the ballot, Lorraine has been joined by her daughter, niece, nephew and brother in law who will also be running for Bowel Cancer UK.
