Staff at FORCE Cancer Charity in Exeter, received a selection of freshly made scones, tea and sweet treats, from local homebuilder Barratt David Wilson Homes Exeter to celebrate FORCE’s scrumptious summer cream tea for cancer.
The cream tea hampers were prepared by local Devon suppliers, making it the perfect gift for a special occasion. FORCE organises this annual event, which started back in 2018 to bring people together to raise money to support their continued efforts to provide services to patients and their loved ones.
The Encompass group, composed of Devon’s Caribbean, Hindu and Polish communities and supported by Exeter Northcott Theatre, has announced Flavours of Us , a family friendly food and culture event taking place at the city centre Barnfield Theatre on 27 May.
On the day, visitors can join one of two guided experiences offering a rich and vibrant exploration of Caribbean, Hindu, and Polish food cultures, including:
An ‘Afternoon Tea with a Twist’ – sample sweet and savoury treats and drinks from each culture.
Residents at Millbrook retirement village, in Exeter, which is owned by later living operator Inspired Villages, dressed in their finery and enjoyed a garden afternoon tea to celebrate The Queen’s 95th Birthday on 21st April.

The Fairchild family from Exeter, Devon are currently raising money for an Innowalk machine for daughter Jessica, 13, who has cerebral palsy. The £25,000 equipment is not funded by the NHS but will help Jessica exercise efficiently, which in turn will help her build up her muscles, reduce stiffness and even improve her digestion.
