A fascinating and unusual new artwork has been added to the University of Exeter’s Streatham Campus, in the form of a sculpture wound around the branch of a tree and suspended in mid-air. The sculpture, entitled White Entwined, was created by Devon artist Deborah Duffin. Organic in shape, it hangs from the tree like huge exotic flower, fading from pink to white and is made from a multitude of wire collected over many years. The Cafe at 36 located in Cowick Street, St Thomas, Exeter is hosting a pop-up art gallery which has been coordinated by Devon Art Pop - a group of artists collaborating to run pop-up galleries around Devon. All of the original and authentic art work is for sale, and 10% of proceeds will be donated to the Arctic Challenge fund currently being raised by Sue and John, owners of the Cafe, in support of Age UK Exeter.

Dr Sally Flint and Dr Ginny Baily, the editors of Riptide short story journal and Canto poetry journal, based at the University of Exeter, will run and facilitate this creative writing workshop.
Artwork on display from RAMM’s permanent collection will be used as inspiration to develop and discuss a piece of writing.
Participants need to bring along pens, paper, a willingness to write and their imaginations.
