A group of lawyers turned rock stars from local law firm Ashfords LLP will be performing at Tedburn St Mary Village Hall to raise money for the firm's Charity of the Year, Mind on Saturday 21 November 2015.

Leading UK law firm Ashfords LLP, has raised a life-changing sum of over £62,000 for Children's Hospice South West (CHSW) as its Charity of the Year 2014.

So, the ultimate foodie event is now upon us. A perfect excuse to overindulge in eating and drinking our favourite local foods and tipples. And boy do we have some great produce down here in the South West.

But how well do these business score when it comes to understanding and protecting their intellectual property ("IP") rights? I'm talking here about issues like: do they register their brands as trade marks, so as to be able to stop others from using the same or a similar trade mark?

Do they seek patent protection, or enter into confidentiality agreements...

Raising money can prove difficult but should always be fun - and so it was at Ashfords Plymouth office's hugely successful charity quiz last night at the City College Plymouth restaurant.

A record breaking £2,000 was for raised for our chosen Charity of the Year, Children's Hospice South West at the Plymouth Office's annual Charity Quiz.

Some 60 clients and contacts took part, including University of Plymouth, Sutton Harbour, City College Plymouth, Brewin Dolphin, Charles Stanley, Plymouth College of Art and many more.

On Friday 22nd November 2013, at the Centre Spot Bar, Exeter City Football Club, a number of Devon's finest amateur choirs will go head to head before a panel of local judges to win the opportunity to perform at Exeter Racecourse on 19 December 2013.

Our panel of judges include former Exeter Chief, Chris Bentley, Bruce Henderson of Exeter City FC, Director of Music at Exeter Cathedral Choir, Andrew Millington and Deputy Head of the Media and Performing Arts Faculty at Exeter College, Andrew Mcilvain.
