Following the installation of a new state of the art Aquagym, the Flamingo Pool in Axminster launches its new ‘Aquatherapy’ GP referral scheme.
The Flamingo Pool’s pilot scheme currently offers 12 fully funded sessions to clients referred, under certain criteria, by their GP or an approved certified professional. Partly funded sessions will be offered upon completion of the first 12 sessions.

Three fire engines from Axminster, Colyton and Honiton were mobilised to a report of a fire involving an office building and a workshop on a caravan park just after 2am today.
On attendance the incident commander confirmed a fire involving a campsite office and building also used as a garage. Four breathing apparatus and two hose reel jets in use.

Two other people are in a critical condidtion in hospital.
A Honda car from the Dorset area and a Vauxhall Zafira from The Isle of Wight were involved in the collision. As a result a 46 year old woman from the Isle of Wight received fatal injuries. At 2.30pm Dorset Ambulance Control informed police of a collision involving a car and lorry on the A35 at Raymond’s Hill on the Dorset-bound carriageway, close to the Devon and Dorset border.
Officers from Devon and Cornwall Police and Dorset Police attended, along with highways, fire and ambulance crews.
