People across the South West are being urged to show their support for World Cancer Day today (February 4) as Cancer Research UK releases new figures revealing that cancer death rates in the region have fallen by 9 per cent over the last 10 years.
The charity is encouraging everyone in the region to wear a Unity Band or make a donation to demonstrate their support for people affected by cancer.

Oxjam Exeter Takeover is delighted to announce tickets are now on sale. This year the main event is being held at Exeter Castle who is also hosting their own Exeter Castle Festival of Rugby. Exeter’s newest live music venue Charlie’s Live Lounge has undergone some changes since its opening in November 2013. Under the stewardship of new General Manager, Julian Eslick Charlies is now open to over 18’s after 7pm allowing a greater range of ages to enjoy the live music and great atmosphere. There is also a more relaxed dress code and no coat charge for guests.
