On Saturday 7th June the South West Blogger Event will take place here in Exeter. The first major event of its kind to be held in the South West, it has been welcomed by local independent businesses throughout the city who are keen to make their mark amongst the UK blogging community.
The event will have a strong local presence, providing an opportunity for businesses to network with bloggers on both a local and national scale. Organisers of the event have worked hard to collaborate with the city’s independents, resulting in a strong South West flavour.
Cafe at 36 are organising their fourth quiz night to be held at St James Park on Friday 21st March 2014. Come along and join in the fun, teams of up to 5 people may enter and the fee is £3 per person.
All proceeds raised go towards Age UK Exeter to help support vulnerable older people in Exeter and prevent social isolation.
There'll be a licenced bar, and a Ploughman's Supper if you're feeling peckish.

Cafe at 36 from St Thomas Exeter have organised their third fund raising quiz night being held to support Age UK Exeter, their local charity in Cowick Street.

A small group of independent cafe owners around Devon have come together to look for the best scone in Devon. The idea came about after some conversations on Twitter about home made cakes and baking, and how small cafes and tea shops may promote themselves to visitors and locals alike.
There are four regional heats each being co-ordinated by a local cafe owner. The Exeter heat will be held on Saturday 25 May 2013, in the Exeter Guildhall Shopping Centre, starting at 10.30am, co-ordinated by Sue and John Taylor from Cafe at 36 in St Thomas, Exeter.
