Hospiscare Christmas Fair

A joyful start to the festive season, courtesy of Exeter Friends of Hospiscare.

You'll find stalls selling crafts, Christmas goods and bric-a-brac as well as a tombola, draw and refreshments.

To get you into the festive mood the Hospiscare Choir will be singing carols.

We’ll be singing from the rooftop (or the top floor) about all the talent we’re surrounded by and where the lovely customers of John Lewis can access it!

CLIC for Christmas 2018 - final lineup revealed

On 4th October, the finalists from the Devon Schools Choir Competition, run by La La Choirs, took centre stage at Southernhay URC and competed for a chance to perform in Exeter Cathedral at the annual sell out concert, CLIC for Christmas. Three choirs had been shortlisted and the choirs at the final sang two songs each. Yet again, the standard was incredibly high, giving the judging panel a really hard time deciding between them. On Friday, 14th December Exeter Cathedral will once again come alive to the sound of your favourite Christmas songs as La La Choirs host their sell-out concert to raise funds for CLIC Sargent. Tickets are available from the link below and are already selling fast, so don't delay getting yours!

Joining La La this year will be Kelly College school chamber choir who were the winners of the Devon Schools Choir competition, together with the CLIC Sargwnt Singers, a group of talented young musicians who met at the CLIC Sargent music programme over the summer.

InExeter announces date for this year's Christmas lights switch on event

This year the city will be illuminated with the biggest display of Christmas lights Exeter has ever seen.

For the third year, InExeter will host and celebrate the city’s Christmas lights switch on event with a new festival for all the family culminating in the lights being switched on at a new time of 5pm on Sunday 18th November in close partnership with Stagecoach and sponsor Crealy.

La La Choirs raise £17,000 for CLIC Sargent

On Friday 8th December 2017, La La Choirs held their third annual ‘CLIC for Christmas’ concert at Exeter Cathedral. Performing to another sold-out audience, they started the festive season off with a bang with a selection of Christmas favourites, old and new.

La La Choirs were joined on stage by the winning choir from their Devon Schools Choir Competition, Kingsley School from Bideford, as well as the CLIC Sargent singers, a group of young people who have all at some point been CLIC Sargent service users and have taken part in their music programme.
