Dance from 8pm until midnight but don't worry, everyone gets a seat at a table too! Book for four or more and your group will have their own reserved table. Free Christmas crafting workshops across Devon

Christmas is just around the corner and the Positive People team are getting festive by holding Christmas crafting workshops across Devon. The Positive People project is funded by the Big Lottery Fund and the European Social Fund and aims to help people get socially and digitally connected.

Andrew all set for Thorverton's big Christmas switch-on

There will be another spectacular Christmas lights show in the village of Thorverton this year.

Andrew Cleave is getting ready for the big switch-on at his Dinneford Street home on Saturday (December 2).

British Heart Foundation 'communi-tree’ event

Staff and volunteers from the British Heart Foundation were joined by some special helpers from St Michael’s Church of England Primary Academy and law firm Michelmores to decorate one of the 35 Christmas trees donated to charities for the Charity Christmas Tree Festival in Roman Walk, Exeter. Exeter University Concert Band Christmas Concert

Exeter University Concert Band invites you to their annual Christmas Concert on Saturday 2nd December at 7pm in St Margaret's Church, Topsham.

The band will be performing a variety of pieces, including lots of well-known scores from stage and screen, some classical wind band numbers, and of course some festive tunes to get everyone in the spirit of Christmas.

Tickets are £5 and £3 for concessions, available to purchase on the door.

Christmas is a time of year when we all get involved with certain traditions. Hanging the mistletoe, brussels sprouts, mince pies, Christmas trees, office parties, so the list goes on…. And it’s no different for retired police officer Barry Frost, 59, from Exeter. However one of Barry’s festive traditions is a tad more unusual than most.
