After having to restrict visits to loved ones last Christmas, many families are planning big celebrations this festive period, but there are some who will be alone. RGB Building Supplies is encouraging people in the local area to be part of its ‘Keeping you in mind’ campaign.

Between Wednesday 1st and Wednesday 15th December, the builders merchant is inviting people to write a message on a postcard, or for younger residents, RGB has designed a Christmas colouring sheet. When Covid forced the closure of the 220 popular GOLDIES Sing and Smile daytime FUN singalongs across England and Wales in March 2020, the charity then turned to the internet and launched “sofa singing” via Facebook and YouTube with twice-weekly sessions featuring all those popular Goldies songs of the 70s and onwards.

Devon Church sends out a 1,000 Christmas Hampers to people in need and require tea/coffee donations

It has been a difficult year for so many, and Rediscover Church in Exeter aims to spread Christmas cheer across the city by distributing about a 1,000 Christmas hampers to those in need.

The hampers are packed with a range of food including pasta, rice, sauces, biscuits, tea, coffee, mince pies, beans, soup and more to support a range of people through the festive period.

Nominate a charity to receive a festive financial boost Specialist insurer Ecclesiastical is giving £120,000 to good causes as part of its annual 12 days of giving Christmas campaign.

Now into its fifth year, Ecclesiastical is once again inviting Devon residents to nominate a registered charity close to their hearts to benefit from this festive financial boost.

Following last year's success, Mecca Bingo Exeter is launching its second unique Everyone Deserves a Christmas appeal to help individuals and families in need this Christmas.

Mecca's renowned UK-wide Christmas appeal involves all 71 clubs across the country and aims to provide hampers to those most in need, allowing them to go through the Christmas season more comfortably. The Exeter Christmas pop-up shop is back: Help raise vital funds for charity this Christmas

Cards for Good Causes, the charity Christmas card and gift retailer, had opened its doors in Exeter. The pop-up shop is in St. Martin's Church and is open Monday to Saturday 10am-4pm.

The not-for-profit organisation always has a huge selection of charity Christmas cards and seasonal gifts with proceeds donated back to local and national charities. In the last 10 years alone, they have raised over £40 million for charity and last year, the Exeter community raised an incredible £10,400 with the sale of charity cards and gifts in the pop-up shop.

RGB Building Supplies' Well Built Builder's Bum 2022 calendar is now on sale to raise vital funds for the builders merchant's chosen charities, Devon Mind, Cornwall Mind and Mind in Somerset.

RGB invited tradespeople to put themselves forward to be included in the calendar and be photographed whilst doing their job, but with a little bit of their bottom on display.

Eco-friendly Christmas decorations for FORCE tree

The FORCE Christmas tree in Princesshay will be trimmed with especially eco-friendly decorations this year.

A group of patients who have been supported by FORCE came together at the charity’s Support and Information Centre to create a wonderful array of decorations from recycled materials.

They are ready in time for the big switch-on of Christmas trees representing a host of local charities this Thursday (November 18).
