There are 12 vacancies on the new body that will be set up to manage local governance for the new community.
Nine people stepped forward for the seats on the new town council and so all nine are duly elected uncontested.
The new council is quorate (it has enough members to carry out its duties) but there will be an opportunity to co-opt three more members in the future.

Rangers from East Devon District Council’s Countryside team have been out and about over recent weeks sharing their knowledge with visitors to Bicton College and Cranbrook.
