A planning application has been submitted for the next phase of the Teign Estuary Trail.

Devon County Council has been supported by Teignbridge District Council in preparing the proposals to develop a 5km section of multi-use trail between Passage House Inn in Newton Abbot and the A381 at La Roche Maurice Walk, east of Bishopsteignton.

A Devon-based, award-winning coffee pod producer is breaking into the Chinese market with its eco-friendly, compostable coffee capsules made from wood and bark.

Blue Goose’s coffee pods are now selling in China online through the Great British Food Store on the country’s largest social media platform, WeChat.

Local volunteers needed for summer food collection

Volunteers are being sought in Devon to help two leading charities support children and families this summer.

Vaccine milestone as three quarters of adults have first dose

Three quarters of adults in Devon have now had their first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine.

More than 750,000 first doses had been given up to 23 May and almost half a million second doses.

The milestone has been reached less than six months since the first vaccine was administered in Devon on 8 December 2020 to 81-year-old Kathleen Viney.

Since then vaccines have been delivered in a huge variety of places, including a mosque, bus, sports centres and grounds, a garden centre, pub, pharmacies, a town hall, hospitals and events venues.
