Together at Westpoint

Together at Westpoint is a fantastic summer event - a place to come into the presence of God and learn, love and go alongside hundreds of his people.

Newfrontiers Churches from the South and South West are holding their annual bible weekend at Westpoint from 22 - 25 August. They expect to see 2,000 adults, young people and children attend, with main meetings in the Arena and camping on site.

There will be a wide and varied programme of events across the weekend including: Sports and Games, Big Meetings, Prayer, Fantastic Childrens Activities, Guest Speakers and Worship...

Roaring success at the 2013 City of Exeter regatta

Last Saturday (13 July) saw over 600 competitors converge on Exeter Quay for the annual City of Exeter rowing regatta. With over 150 events, the regatta ran from 10:30am to 6:30pm and was the biggest event for ten years. The day saw large crowds enjoying the Mediterranean weather and cheering on the competitors.

Exeter Racecourse experiences phenomenal growth

Exeter Racecourse has recorded its best ever results for conference and events bookings since it first significantly started to build this side of the business in 2005.

The period from 1 January until 30 June saw a 30 per cent increase in revenue compared to the same period in 2012 and the highest following the opening of its £2.2million extension, in 2009, which doubled the size of the facilities available.

From January until the end of June, the racecourse hosted 300 separate events, with an average of 500 visitors per week and just under 12,000 delegates in total....

Seaton Air Ambulance Week launches for its 4th consecutive year

Sunday 28 July sees the start of this year’s Seaton Air Ambulance Week.

The event goes on for eight days with a full and fun-packed programme to be enjoyed by locals and holiday-makers alike with proceeds going to Devon Air Ambulance Trust.

Devon’s care homes open doors for national day of celebration

Care home doors will be swung open next week as Devon County Council homes join in with National Care Home Open Day.

On Friday 21 June, homes across Devon will be holding special events and inviting the public to join them. These include tea dances, pamper days, cream teas, live music, craft activities, gardening, cooking, a dog show and pet therapy.
