Exeter City and Burton Albion played out a 1-1 draw at St James Park, with both goals coming after the break.
Jacob Blyth was Burton’s goalscorer on the hour-mark – and it looked like it was going to be enough until Christian Ribeiro headed in City’s equaliser with less than five minutes on the clock.
The result kept up Exeter’s record of being the only Football League team to have scored and conceded in all of their home games in the league to date this season.
And while it didn’t earn Exeter a place amongst the play-off places, it represented a decent point...
Exeter City pulled off a memorable comeback as they overturned Shrewsbury Town’s 2-0 first-half lead – Tom Nichols’ dramatic winner came in second-half injury time to secure a 3-2 victory.
The Shrews looked good for their second place in Sky Bet League 2 in the first half, with striker James Collins getting his ninth and tenth goals of the campaign.
The second half was a totally different story though – City pulled one back within seconds of the restart, with Nichols fed by Matt Grimes before putting the ball behind Town keeper Jayson Leutwiler. Substitute David Wheeler...
Exeter City arrive back at St James Park in a rich vein of form, with a draw and two wins – and seven points – from the past three games.
But few teams are quite as in-form as Bury. Undefeated since the opening weekend in League 2, the Shakers took all three points in their three most recent fixtures – leapfrogging their rivals Burton Albion last weekend with a win against the Brewers and going top of the pile.
Former Grecian Daniel Nardiello was twice a goalscorer in that game at Gigg Lane after coming off the bench – indeed Bury’s potent attack has been a telling factor...
Saturday’s trip to Prenton Park pits master versus apprentice, as Rob Edwards and Paul Tisdale stand in opposing dugouts for the first time.
Edwards, formerly Tis’s number 2 at St James Park, left for Tranmere in the summer and has since appointed former players Alex Russell and Matt Gill as first-team coach and assistant manager respectively.
Eliot Richards, who was loaned to Exeter from Bristol Rovers last season, was signed by Tranmere during the off-season too.
For Exeter, it is a chance to record back-to-back wins in League 2 for the first time this year...
Two goals in the first half from Harvey and Reid, and a follow-up by Nelson in the second saw Argyle the victors in the much-anticipated Devon derby.
Exeter City were unable to get on the score sheet as a composed Argyle took the full sum of the points at Home Park this afternoon.
The game also saw the appearance of new signing Graham Cummins in his first competitive fixture for City. Following the lifting of the transfer embargo yesterday, Paul Tisdale didn’t hesitate in completing his first piece of business. Striker Cummins started amongst the substitutes on the away...

Exeter City have released details of the retain list following the completion of the 2013/14 campaign.

Matt Oakley, Matt Gill, Eliot Richards, Jimmy Keohane, Christy Pym and James Hamon will be made offers with the intention of keeping them at the club. Discussions are currently ongoing with Arron Davies and Jake Gosling with news still to follow...
It was confirmed on the 8th February that Bristol Rovers had signed City's top scorer Alan Gow on loan for the rest of the season, in a loan swap deal that saw 22-year-old Eliot Richards switching the other way. At the time there was speculation that this was down to Exeter City's finances and that they couldn't afford to keep Gow, so they had to settle for the young Richards.
Both players contracts are up at the end of the season and the latest news from Bristol, despite the fact the Scot is now out injured until the end of the season, is that John Ward wants to...
