Brahms – Ein deutsches Requiem Exeter Philharmonic Choir with The Sinfonietta Directed by Andrew Millington Saturday 16 March 2013 Exeter Cathedral: 7.30 pm
When Brahms wrote his German Requiem, critics considered it the fulfilment of Schumann's prophecy that Brahms was a genius. The music and spiritual themes of Brahms' Ein deutsches Requiem make it one of the most beloved pieces in the choral repertoire. The work sets the mass in German for soprano, baritone, choir and orchestra. Exeter Philharmonic Choir are very excited about performing the work again.
