Exeter Pride announces date for 2023

TRUSTEES and Committee Members working hard behind the scenes are proud to announce that Exeter Pride will be returning on Saturday, May 13, 2023.

Exeter Pride is one of the South West's biggest celebrations of the LGBTQ+ community, and one of the biggest free Pride events in the country.

It is a key annual event in Exeter's calendar and exciting plans are being made for the 2023 event, following a triumphant comeback in 2022.

OutdoorLads kicks-off Pride 2022 with return to Exeter

Exeter has been chosen for the launch of the OutdoorLads Pride campaign for 2022, with the outdoor activities charity for GBT+ men set to join the thousands of revellers in the city for Exeter Pride, next month.

After a three-year wait for one of the South West's biggest prides, the free festival will take place on Saturday 14th May and once again is set to welcome the famous rainbow flag march, culminating with colourful celebrations in Northernhay Gardens.

Exeter Pride cancels re-arranged September event

EXETER Pride trustees have announced that they have decided not to proceed with the proposed re-arranged Exeter Pride event, which was scheduled first for Saturday, May 2 and then for Saturday, September 26.

Trustees said that due to the daily changing situation caused by the Covid-19 outbreak and upon Government and Public Health England it had taken the decision to cancel the September 26 event to ensure the continued health and well-being of everyone in the community.

Exeter Pride proposing to hold 2020 event in September

DUE to the daily changing national landscape caused by the COVID-19 outbreak, and upon Government and Public Health England advice, Exeter Pride trustees are postponing the May event “to ensure the continued health and well-being of everyone in the community”.

Originally scheduled to take place on Saturday, May 2, trustees are now exploring the new date of Saturday, September 26, subject to approval from authorities.

THE 11th Exeter Pride, which turned the City rainbow-coloured on Saturday, May 11, has been hailed as the biggest and best yet.

More than 10,000 people showed their support for the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning (LGBTQ+) communities in the region by taking part or attending.

Thousands of people took part in the march from the St Sidwell Centre, down Exeter High Street and along Queen Street into Northernhay Gardens.

Exeter Pride appeals for Crowdfunder support to keep event free-of-charge

THE award-winning Exeter Pride has been going from strength-to-strength, delivering a free celebration of LGBTQIA+ diversity and visibility, for the past 10 years.

The 11th Exeter Pride will take place on Saturday, May 11 and to keep the event free for those who go along, the trustees and volunteers who run it are appealing for individuals, businesses and organisations to back the charity's appeal to raise £5,000 within the next two weeks.
