The finalists have been announced in the NatWest Venus Women’s Awards, Devon. Semi-finalists, sponsors and friends gathered at The Magdalen Chapter Hotel in Exeter, to find out who would be invited to the grand Awards Ceremony at Exeter University on 5 September.
The event was co-hosted by Celia Delaney of Exeter-based company, SpeakingSuccess, and the founder of the Venus Awards, Tara Howard.
Some of the finalists were selected directly by their sponsors, while others had to face the even more challenging public vote process.
The tension is mounting for the shortlisted nominees in the Natwest Devon Venus Awards, as the finalists are due to be announced in Exeter tonight at the Magdalen Chapter Hotel. In recognition of the importance of these awards, the event is even being filmed by Channel Four.
There have been thousands of nominations and votes in the competition, recognising the achievements of women in business.

Story update 9 July: Police have released two CCTV images thought to be of Paul Williams in an attempt to help trace the missing Exeter man, last seen at his residence at around 10pm on 2 July.
Both images are from CCTV footage at Tesco Express in Exminster. The first was at 10.31am Saturday 6 July (inside store with basket) while the next was him at 8.35pm Sunday 7 July 2013 (Outside by the ATM).
Police reiterate their plea for anyone seeing Mr Williams to contact Devon and Cornwall Police on telephone 101 quoting reference 114 of the 3rd July 2013....
