Browne Jacobson has strengthened its growing higher education practice by appointing a special adviser with deep experience in the sector.

As the UK and Ireland law firm’s first higher education special adviser, Professor Janice Kay CBE will provide strategic input and support engagement with the higher education sector.

Her experience includes two decades in senior positions at the University of Exeter, including as Provost and Senior Deputy Vice-Chancellor for nine years until August 2023.

Creative colleagues in Exeter are inviting youngsters to get to the art of the matter by helping to raise awareness about good eye health.

To mark National Eye Health Week (23-29 September), staff at the city’s Specsavers store are inviting children to let their imaginations run wild for a drawing competition.

Vertu Jaguar Land Rover Exeter has partnered with Brendon Prince, founder of the Above Water charity, to support his mission of educating children on water safety and organising the SUP English Riviera Championships (SUPERCHAMPS).
