App leads to re-brand of recruiter’s division

The stunning success of a national recruiter’s app has helped prompt it to re-brand its Internal Recruitment Division as the department experiences rapid growth.

Berry Recruitment, headquartered in St Albans with branches across the country including one in Exeter, is to change the name to Professional Services Division.

It now has a team of more than 20 that recruit high-volume staff for public and private sector clients.

With the help of the app it has been able to extend its range to cover the whole of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

Co-op re-launches its Queen Street, Exeter, store following an eight-week programme of works and improvements to ‘transform’ the store.

As part of its 2024/25 College Tour, Valspar Trade has recently visited Exeter College, delivering its award-winning Colour Workshop to its painting and decorating students.

Topsham Museum ‘On The Move’ During Closure

The late 17th century building at the heart of Topsham Museum is undergoing large-scale repair work for several months this year - preventing the museum opening for its 2025 season as scheduled in the spring.

Work undertaken late last year by the museum’s landlord, Exeter City Council, revealed more substantial problems with the structure of the building, located on Topsham’s Strand, close to the Exe Estuary.

Final resurfacing work planned on Rifford Road

The final two phases of resurfacing work on Rifford Road in Exeter are scheduled to be carried out over the next couple of months.

A large section of the road, between the junctions with Quarry Lane and Lethbridge Road, was resurfaced last month as part of the development of the cycle route.

The remaining areas of Rifford Road to be closed for resurfacing will be:

• Monday 10 February – Friday 21 February: Lethbridge Road to 121 Rifford Road;

• Monday 17 March – Friday 28 March: 121 Rifford Road to Ludwell Lane Roundabout.
