Independent charity Devon Communities Together has announced a new partnership with Dartmoor Brewery, which will see the two Devon organisations working together to raise money to support communities throughout the county.
The partnership will be predominantly based around the Brewery’s Legend ale, with a series of initiatives planned through which a percentage of Legend’s profits will be donated to the charity’s LOVE Devon campaign. This year will once again see Hospiscare teaming up with local residents who are gladly opening their gardens in support of what is now a favourite staple in the charity’s calendar. This year, Hospiscare Open Gardens is entering its fifteenth year and to date has raised the awe inspiring amount of £227,000. This is thanks to the gardeners who work tirelessly caring for their outdoor spaces, the visitors who turn out in force to marvel at these treasured lands and the friends, family and volunteers who come together to make it all possible.

Hospiscare’s annual Coffee Morning event is now under way. Throughout the area, people are signing up to raise funds for the local charity by holding coffee mornings in their homes, community halls and even their local parks. Businesses, too, are getting ready to bake and boil for Hospiscare.

Hospiscare vans and volunteers were out in force last weekend collecting over 500 Christmas Trees across the city.
Exeter residents were able to have their tree collected in exchange for a donation and the initiative raised over £5,000 for the local charity that cares for people who have been given a terminal diagnosis.
