New team Teignmouth Thunderbirds (TBirds) Cougars were proud champions in the Regional Back to Netball Festival after a classy 6-2 win over runners up Swaggamamas on Sunday 24th January 2016.
TBirds made it eight wins out of eight in the Back to Netball Festival, organised by England Netball beating 15 teams from across the region to win the tournament at Paignton Sports Hub. It was an encouraging display from the new Back to Netball Club squad, who largely controlled proceedings.

Two teams from Exeter City are getting ready to compete in the South West regional round of the Football League Trust's national walking football tournament.
The event is being held on Friday 26 June in the Sports Hall at the University of Exeter from 7-9pm.
They will be joined in the round-robin competition by teams from Plymouth Argyle, Swindon, Bristol City and Portsmouth and the top two teams will go through to the national finals, which will be held at St George's Park - the FA's national football centre - on July 6.

Come and celebrate our gorgeous English apples at an Apple Festival taking place in the quaint farming village of Stockleigh Pomeroy.
The Romans first brought the apple to the UK and thanks to them there are now over 1,200 native apples for eating, cooking, as well as for cider making and crab apples for pickling. They have enchanting names such as: Acklam Russets, Barnack Beauty, Nutmeg Pippin, Knobby Russet… and many more.

There are refreshments, home made cakes, a bar with Pimms, BBQ, dog agility, stalls including plants, books, jewellery, bric-a-brac, jigsaws as well as fun and games and a grand prize draw. The weather forecast is good too! All money raised from this event goes directly to your local animal shelter, Little Valley. We are easy to find - just past Pocombe Bridge. It's that time of year again! It's time for the annual Shelter Day and Fun Dog Show at RSPCA Little Valley Animal Shelter, based just outside Exeter past Swains Garage at Pocombe Bridge.
Sadly, due to the bad weather last year's event was postponed and eventually cancelled. Lucily, this year, the weather forecast looks great for Sunday so it's all systems go!
