Crane operator Colin Moore tells us what life is like when your office has a birds eye view of Exeter.
As commutes go Colin Moore's vertical climb of 150 steps to his 'office', is certainly unusual. For Colin works for ISG and operates the 80 metre high crane assembled to help in the regeneration of the Guildhall Shopping Centre to create the Queen St Dining Quarter.
Colin's office is the cab of a Luffing Jib Tower Crane, which was put in place at the end of July.

They stormed the building, daring to sit in the Guildhall’s seats of high office, proclaiming all must see their production of Wyrd Sisters at Broadclyst Victory Hall.
Onlookers said they hadn’t seen anything like it since the Poll Tax Pasty Riot of 1990, when protestors threw pasties from the Guildhall’s public gallery, during a council meeting discussing the controversial tax.
The play’s baddie Duke Felmet, sat in the Lord Mayor’s seat of...

The Buturi Project is a small charity made up of like-minded volunteers, helping a remote village in Tanzania, on the shore of Lake Victoria, where they are struggling with poverty in near intolerable conditions.
Like many parts of sub-Saharan Africa, Buturi has suffered from the twin disasters of AIDS and drought.
Twenty-five years of AIDS has decimated the community, so we tend to see the very young and old with the stronger, more capable generation missing. The older generation struggle to bring up their orphaned grandchildren. Buturi is a village typical of this...
